Summer might be over, but Twitch just keeps getting hotter!

Boy, Oh boy! If you think our title was clickbaity, you couldn’t be any farther from the truth!

Twitch; a popular streaming platform for gamers has found its newfound gem. You can love it or hate it, but you can’t ignore it. What started out just as a random streaming session by a gamer in a hot tub has caught the platform in a frenzy. Within a month, it all blew up and now every other webcam performer is seen streaming in hot tubs and pools!

Currently, the top streamers who are raking thousands by the day are Amouranth, Faith and Indiefoxxx. But as you guessed it right, things did get steamy for quite a few streamers and ended up in hefty penalties. Twitch has always had a very strict policy on sexual or NSFW content and has banned performers without hesitation. This time it was no different except for ONE thing.

Most of the performers thought that the mega streaming platform would soon crack down on this genre and it’ll be forgotten BUT that’s exactly what didn’t happen! Twitch actually went on to provide an official explanation and made a separate category for Hot Tub Streamers!

According to Twitch:

“...being found to be sexy by others is not against the rules, and Twitch will not take enforcement action against women, or anyone on our service, for their perceived attractiveness...”

And thus, they would happily host such content as long as they don’t violate the NSFW policies.

This is a rather welcoming change and is a win-win scenario as this categorization would not only help camgirls and audiences of such content but will also help Twitch earn some hefty revenue by selling advertisement spaces to brands targeting this niched group of viewers! Two birds in one stone? No doubt.

But yes, it is also noteworthy that Twitch has mentioned that this won’t be a permanent change. As it seems to be a passing trend, so will be the category.
